Terms of Sale

MarkClean Lifetime Pro

1. Who you are buying from

MarkClean is made by Slash Mark IT Solutions (OPC) Private Limited, a company incorporated in India (CIN U62099TS2024OPC187033, GSTIN 36ABNCS8001L1ZY), with its office at 2nd Floor, Ramnagar Road, Karimnagar, Telangana 505001, India ("Slash Mark", "we", "us").

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record and reseller for the purchase. Dodo Payments collects the payment, charges and remits applicable taxes (including GST), and issues your receipt. Dodo Payments' own buyer terms also apply to the payment. Your licence to use MarkClean is granted by Slash Mark under the Licence Agreement below.

2. What you are buying

MarkClean is free to download and scan. MarkClean Lifetime Pro ("Pro") is a one-time purchase of a licence key that unlocks the Pro features of MarkClean: cleaning and removing files found by a scan, uninstalling apps and removing their leftovers, and the tools that change your Mac (including Large Files, Duplicate Finder, Browser Privacy, Startup Items, Maintenance and App Updates). Scanning and viewing results remain free.

Use the free version before you buy. It shows exactly what MarkClean finds on your Mac, so you can decide whether Pro is right for you.

3. Price and taxes

• India: ₹499 plus GST at the applicable rate (currently 18%, so ₹588.82 in total). GST is added and shown separately at checkout.
• Everywhere else: US$5 plus applicable taxes. Any sales tax, VAT or similar tax that applies in your country is calculated and shown by Dodo Payments at checkout.

The amount shown at checkout before you pay is the amount you are charged. Your bank or card issuer may add currency conversion or foreign transaction fees; these are outside our control and are not refundable by us. Prices may change at any time. A price change does not affect purchases already completed, and we do not refund the difference if a price is later reduced or a discount is offered.

4. One-time payment, lifetime licence

Pro is a one-time payment. It is not a subscription and is never charged again automatically. "Lifetime" means for as long as Slash Mark continues to develop, distribute or support MarkClean (the lifetime of the product), not the lifetime of the buyer. Your licence includes the updates to MarkClean that we make available to Pro licence holders. We may, at our discretion, release a substantially new product under a different name or licence, which is not included.

5. Delivery

Your licence key is delivered electronically by Dodo Payments to the email address you enter at checkout, and is shown on the confirmation page after payment. Delivery is normally immediate. Check your spam folder. If you have not received your key within 24 hours of a successful payment, email info@slashmark.in with your payment reference.

6. Activation and number of Macs

• One licence may be activated on up to three (3) Macs that you own or control.
• Activation requires an internet connection. MarkClean confirms the licence with Dodo Payments periodically (about once a day when online). Pro keeps working offline for up to 30 days after the last successful confirmation.
• You can free a Mac's place from MarkClean → Settings → Licence → Deactivate This Mac. If you lose access to a Mac, contact us and we may reset activations at our discretion, at most a reasonable number of times.
• MarkClean requires macOS 13 or later on an Apple Silicon or Intel Mac. It is your responsibility to check compatibility using the free version before buying.

7. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and able to enter into a binding contract, or have the consent of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf. If you buy for a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

8. Acceptance

By completing the purchase, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms of Sale, the Licence Agreement, the Refund & Cancellation Policy and the Privacy Policy, and that you request immediate delivery of the licence key and acknowledge that, once delivered, the purchase is non-refundable except as stated in the Refund Policy.

End User Licence Agreement

MarkClean for macOS

1. Licence grant

Subject to this Agreement, Slash Mark grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to install and use MarkClean for your personal use or the internal use of your business. If you hold a Pro licence key, this includes using the Pro features on up to three (3) Macs you own or control. MarkClean is licensed, not sold. Slash Mark and its licensors keep all rights not expressly granted.

2. Restrictions

You must not, and must not allow anyone else to:

• share, publish, sell, rent, lend or transfer a licence key, or use one key on more Macs than allowed;
• bypass, disable, modify or interfere with the licence check, activation limits or any other technical protection, or use a key generator, patched build or forged licence;
• decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer MarkClean, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction;
• redistribute modified builds of MarkClean under the MarkClean or Slash Mark name, or remove or alter any copyright, trademark or licence notice;
• use MarkClean to access, delete or modify data on a computer you are not authorised to manage, or in breach of any law.

3. Your responsibility for what is removed

MarkClean deletes and moves files. Some deletions are permanent and cannot be undone.

MarkClean shows every item before it is removed, and nothing is removed until you confirm. You are solely responsible for reviewing the selection, for confirming each action, and for keeping current backups (for example with Time Machine) before cleaning, uninstalling, emptying the Trash, deleting snapshots or backups, or changing startup items. Items moved to the Trash can be recovered until you empty it; items removed permanently cannot.

4. Updates and changes

We may update, change or discontinue features of MarkClean at any time. Updates may be required to keep using some features. We are not obliged to provide updates, support or any particular feature, and we may stop distributing MarkClean. If we stop, the version you have keeps working on your Mac, but the licence check may stop working, in which case Pro may remain usable only within the offline period.

5. Termination

This Agreement remains in effect until terminated. It ends automatically, and we may disable your licence key without refund, if you breach it, if the payment is reversed or charged back, or if the key was obtained by fraud or without authorisation. When it ends, you must stop using the Pro features. Sections 3, 6, 7, 8 and 9 survive termination.

6. No warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MarkClean and Pro are provided "as is" and "as available", with all faults and without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or that MarkClean will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free up any particular amount of space. Space estimates are estimates. MarkClean is not an antivirus and does not guarantee the security of your Mac.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Slash Mark, its directors, employees and licensors will not be liable for any loss of data, files, profits, revenue, business or goodwill, or for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, arising from or related to MarkClean or this Agreement, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for all claims is limited to the amount you actually paid for Pro in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or ₹499 (or US$5) if you paid nothing.

Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Slash Mark against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of this Agreement or your misuse of MarkClean.

9. Governing law and disputes

This Agreement and the Terms of Sale are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any non-waivable rights you have as a consumer in your country, the courts at Karimnagar, Telangana, India have exclusive jurisdiction. Before starting any proceedings, you agree to contact our Grievance Officer and allow thirty (30) days to resolve the matter.

10. General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor. These documents are the entire agreement between you and Slash Mark about MarkClean. Apple, Mac and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc.; MarkClean is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

All sales are final

1. No refunds

Because the licence key is delivered instantly and cannot be returned, we do not offer refunds, credits or exchanges, including (without limitation) for:

• change of mind, or not using MarkClean after purchase;
• buying by mistake, buying more than one licence, or not reading the product description;
• MarkClean finding less to clean, or freeing less space, than you expected;
• incompatibility with a Mac or macOS version that does not meet the stated requirements (macOS 13 or later);
• a feature you expected that MarkClean does not offer, or a feature that changes or is removed in an update;
• reaching the three-Mac activation limit, losing your key (we will resend it instead), or being unable to go online for the licence check;
• a later price reduction or promotional offer;
• a licence disabled because of a breach of the Licence Agreement or a chargeback.

2. Cancellation

Pro is a one-time payment, so there is nothing to cancel after purchase. You can abandon the checkout at any time before paying, and you will not be charged.

3. The only exceptions

We will issue a refund through Dodo Payments to the original payment method only if:

• Duplicate charge: you were charged more than once for the same order;
• Non-delivery: your payment succeeded but no licence key was issued, and we are unable to deliver a working key within seven (7) days of you contacting us;
• Unauthorised payment: Dodo Payments or your card issuer confirms that the payment was not made by you or with your permission; or
• a refund is required by applicable law.

To claim an exception, email info@slashmark.in within thirty (30) days of the payment, with the payment reference and the email used at checkout. When a refund is issued, the licence key is disabled immediately on all Macs.

4. Chargebacks

Please contact us before disputing a payment with your bank. If a payment is disputed or charged back, the licence key is disabled until the dispute is resolved in our favour. We may contest disputes that do not fall within the exceptions above, and refuse future purchases from accounts involved in abusive chargebacks.

5. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits rights you have that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 in India. Where you are a consumer in a country that gives a right to withdraw from a digital purchase, you agree, by completing checkout, to the immediate supply of the licence key and acknowledge that you lose that right once the key is delivered, to the extent that law permits.

Privacy Policy

MarkClean app and website

Slash Mark is the data fiduciary (data controller) for the personal data described here. This policy is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and, where they apply to you, other data protection laws such as the GDPR.

1. What the app does not do

MarkClean has no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting and no account. Scan results, file lists and paths, cleanup history and logs stay on your Mac and are never sent to us.

2. Data we, or our providers, process

The licence record (key, activation id and the time it was last confirmed) is stored in your Mac's Keychain. It is not synced to iCloud.

3. Legal basis

We process this data to perform the contract you enter into when you buy or activate Pro, to comply with legal obligations (such as tax and accounting records), and for legitimate uses permitted by law such as preventing fraud. We do not sell or rent personal data and do not use it for advertising.

4. Retention

Purchase and tax records are kept for as long as Indian tax and company law requires (currently up to eight years). Licence and activation data is kept while the licence exists. Support emails are kept for as long as needed to resolve your request, then deleted within two years.

5. Transfers outside India

Dodo Payments and our other providers may process data in other countries. We rely on their contractual and security commitments, and transfers are made only to countries not restricted by the Government of India.

6. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, update or erase your personal data, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, nominate another person to exercise your rights, and raise a grievance. Some data, such as purchase records, must be kept by law even if you ask for erasure. Email info@slashmark.in or our Grievance Officer. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India or your local data protection authority.

7. Security

Licence checks use encrypted HTTPS connections. The licence record is kept in the macOS Keychain. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect data.

8. Children

MarkClean is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly process the personal data of anyone under 18 without verifiable parental consent.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be announced on this page.

We acknowledge every grievance within 48 hours of receipt and aim to resolve it within one month of receiving the grievance.
